Book Club Cancellation Policy

Students are expected to attend each meeting of their book club and complete assigned readings in between meetings. No refunds will be given for missed meetings and students will be expected to catch up on missed reading so that they may fully participate in subsequent meetings. 

IF A BOOK CLUB RECEIVES LESS THAN 2 REGISTRATIONS BY THE DEADLINE, THAT BOOK CLUB WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

If you need to cancel your registration for a book club, the following refund policy will apply:

  • Full refund will be given if you cancel at least 4 days before the first meeting.

  • Half refund will be given if you cancel between 4 days and 24 hours before the first meeting.

  • Course credit will be given if you cancel within 24 hours of the first meeting.

  • No refund or credit will be given if you cancel after the book club has begun.

  • If Loving Literacy cancels a full book club, a full refund will be given. 

  • If Loving Literacy cancels a single meeting of a book club, a refund OR make up meeting will be given, depending on circumstances. 

If a session is cancelled by client more than 24 hours in advance, there will be no charge for the session.

If a session is cancelled by client less than 24 hours in advance, the session will be charged at 1/2 price ($30/hr). If a client does not show for a session and does not inform the educator, the session will be charged at full price ($60/hr)

For tutoring sessions, invoices will be sent every 2 weeks to your email address on file. Invoices must be paid within 30 days or submitted to ClassWallet within one week.

For Book Clubs, invoices will be sent upon receipt of registration. Invoices are due 4 days before the start of the Book Club.
